Requirements

  • Interest in mechanical and/or electrical assembly.
  • Self-motivated with a positive attitude, resourcefulness, and adaptability.
  • Basic understanding of mechanical components and machine design.
  • Must have a high school diploma and be actively enrolled in an accredited University.
  • Ability to work independently, as well as perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Kaizen and Lean Manufacturing techniques knowledge preferred.
  • CAD skills is preferred, but not required.
  • Familiarity with requirements for aerospace component manufacturing that includes having knowledge of aerospace fabrications, machining, laser technology, welding, coatings, and heat treatment is also preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Developing, modifying, and building machinery that adheres to Pursuit Aerospace - Cleveland’s numbering system, while ensuring operator safety.
  • Rapidly prototyping and producing right size production ready equipment throughout the shop.
  • Utilizing machinery and materials within the shop to create and modify custom components.
  • Working with all areas of the organization; to include Operators, Engineers, Leads, Quality, EH&S, and Kaizen Promotion Office (KPO) team.
  • Utilizing Kaizen tools to support manufacturing processes improvements and flow lines.
  • Interpreting blueprints, dimensions, symbols, and geometric tolerances based on customer specifications.
  • Performing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Supporting and participating in various roles throughout the shop such as Kaizen and 3S workshops, including performing flow line operations.
  • Traveling to other Pursuit Aerospace sites may be offered and/or required.
