About The Position

This role is responsible for network and on-premises virtual infrastructure development, security, and operations within a focused DevSecOps team. The position creates, deploys, integrates, and maintains hybrid and edge multi-tenant infrastructure designs for secure, scalable, and resilient application environments.

The role integrates network, computer, and storage management systems for cloud service providers and on-premises Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) into full-lifecycle operational service delivery and project management platforms. It designs, deploys, secures, and maintains network and virtual infrastructure for office and enterprise environments, including multi-tenant, virtualized, and High-Performance Computing (HPC) production environments. The position also supports the full lifecycle of business-critical applications and end-user productivity software tailored to manufacturing, engineering, modeling, and data analytics needs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or computer information management, or a high school diploma with at least four years of work experience in the Information Technology field.
• Demonstrated experience engineering and managing enterprise network and virtual infrastructure across multi-site, hybrid on-premises and cloud service provider compute and storage environments.
• Strong experience building configurations, deploying, troubleshooting, and securely managing enterprise-grade routers, firewalls, switches, VPNs, wireless access points, site-to-site IPsec tunnels, cloud service provider network security and IP address management, and software-defined wide-area networking.
• Experience configuring, deploying, troubleshooting, and securely managing on-premises virtual hypervisors and platform infrastructure, including compute and storage capabilities that enable scale, high availability, and recovery.
• Experience supporting and/or integrating network and virtual infrastructure systems into automated service delivery management systems.
• Experience building office and enterprise-grade network systems supporting on-premises IaaS, HPC, and cloud service provider environments for secure and scalable production software platforms.
• Familiarity with developing and maintaining continued compliance of network systems aligned to NIST 800-171 and 800-53 control families or Center for Internet Security (CIS) benchmark configurations.
• Knowledge of network engineering solutions that leverage and/or integrate next-generation cloud service provider Infrastructure-, Platform-, or Software-as-a-Service capabilities.
• Expertise in enterprise scaling technologies and solutions.

Responsibilities

• Integrate network, computer, and storage management systems for cloud service providers and on-premises IaaS solutions into full-lifecycle operational service delivery and project management platforms.
• Design and deploy hardened, compliant office and enterprise network infrastructure supporting multi-tenant, virtualized, and/or HPC production environments across on-premises IaaS, cloud service provider platforms, or hybrid environments.
• Develop and maintain security, availability, performance, scalability, continuous improvement, and monitoring for highly available and redundant network and virtual infrastructure.
• Manage the full lifecycle of development, testing, and production for business-critical applications and end-user productivity software tailored to manufacturing, engineering, modeling, and data analytics needs.
• Research vendor network and virtualization deployment guides and instructions for new products, and develop secure, resilient, and scalable infrastructure that integrates enterprise applications and platforms with core service management systems.
• Recommend redesigns of existing network and virtualization infrastructure to improve security, enterprise scalability, and resiliency across production, test, and development environments.
• Take ownership of project requirements development, deployment, and operational release management.
• Maintain professional demeanor and behavior in all forms of communication.
