Requirements

  • Entry-level Chemical Engineer with 1-2 years of experience and/or student Co-Op engineering experience
  • Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written.
  • The ability to work in a team environment
  • Excellent computer skills (i.e., MS Office)
  • Process simulation skills is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical assistance/analysis for troubleshooting and unit optimization.
  • Support operations during plant shutdowns, start-ups, and process upsets.
  • Monitor production rate, unit coefficients, downtime and availability data and trends.
  • Provide process engineering support to capital projects.
  • Act as steward of safety and environmental systems, and identify and report all safety, health, and environmental concerns.
  • Support process safety programs such as Process Hazard Analyses (PHA) and Management of Change (MOC).
