About The Position

Cenovus’s New Grad Program aims to attract, develop and retain exceptional new grads to build a top talent pipeline for the company. The program provides new grads with a broad understanding of Cenovus’s core business through challenging work assignments, training and development, field exposure and the opportunity to develop a large network of contacts through networking and mentorship opportunities. Our Program consists of three consecutive 12-month rotational assignments that span Cenovus’s varied business areas. Upon completion of the three-year program, you will be matched to a permanent role within the organization. This role will be based on business need and relocation may be required. As an Engineer-in-Training at Cenovus, possible rotations could include: Operations Process / Unit Contact Engineering Process Engineering Facilities Engineering Project Engineering Maintenance & Reliability Integrity Engineering Drilling, Completions & Well Servicing Process and Technical Safety Design / Doc Control All rotations—and your final placement upon graduating from the New Grad Program—will be located in Lloydminster, AB/SK. While the intention is to keep your full program experience based in Lloydminster, there may be business needs or development opportunities that require rotating to another location.

Requirements

Legally authorized to work in Canada
Available to begin work June 2027
Must have an undergraduate or graduate Mechanical, Materials, Chemical/Process, or Petroleum Engineering-related degree obtained by May 31, 2027, and completed within the last 2 years (2025, 206, or before May 31, 2027).
Must be eligible to register for your Engineer-in-Training designation.
Has less than two years of professional experience related to this discipline of study, excluding student experience.
Must hold a Class 5 driver's license, a satisfactory driving record, and adhere to the appropriate Cenovus policies and guidelines (for safety sensitive rotations).
Completion of required pre-employment medical and alcohol/drug assessments (for safety sensitive rotations).
