Engineer III – Piping Systems

BLUE ORIGIN•Huntsville, AL
•$121,023 - $169,432

About The Position

This role is part of Blue Origin’s Engines business unit, which designs, develops, manufactures, and tests engines and propulsion systems. The Engineer III – Piping Systems will design and develop ground-based fluid piping systems for a development program and own those systems throughout their complete product life cycle, from initial definition through system operation. The work covers design, analysis, manufacturing, test support, data review, and maintenance. Hardware includes high-pressure storage and distribution systems, pneumatics, and other ancillary systems needed to operate a novel architecture. The position requires a strong technical background in fluid design and familiarity with applicable codes and regulations, and includes travel to Blue Origin sites to support development, maintenance, and operations. The engineer will provide technical ownership of fluid subsystems and collaborate with designers, configuration managers, production organizations, operations, and Supply Chain. The role calls for technical expertise, leadership, project management proficiency, and commitment to quality, as well as guiding and mentoring less experienced engineers. Relocation is provided, travel is expected up to 20% of the time, and interviews include a technical assessment.
