Engineer III – Piping Systems

Blue Origin•Huntsville, AL

About The Position

This role is part of Blue Origin’s Engines business unit, focused on designing, developing, manufacturing, and testing engines and propulsion systems. The engineer will design and develop ground-based fluid piping systems for a development program and own their complete product life cycle, from initial definition through system operation. The work covers design, analysis, manufacturing, test support, data review, and maintenance. Hardware responsibilities include high-pressure storage and distribution systems, pneumatics, and ancillary systems needed to operate a novel architecture. The role requires a strong technical background in fluid design and familiarity with applicable codes and regulations, along with technical expertise, leadership, project management proficiency, and dedication to quality. Some travel to Blue Origin sites is required to support development, maintenance, and operations; travel is expected up to 20%. Relocation is provided, and interviews include a technical assessment.
