About The Position

This role is responsible for building, installing, and repairing various elements of the property, including walls, partitions, drywall, wallpaper, millwork/molding, and faux finishing. The position also involves installing and repairing finishes like laminates, performing rough-in framing for doors, frames, windows, and cabinetry, and repairing, maintaining, and constructing wood structures. Miscellaneous minor repairs, such as tightening door locks and hardware, are also part of the duties. The role requires ordering supplies by filling out requisitions, obtaining manager approval, and using appropriate vendors. Additionally, the position involves loading, transporting, and unloading freight using a hand truck. The employee must follow all company safety and security policies, report maintenance issues and hazards, and complete safety training. Maintaining a clean and professional appearance, protecting company assets, and communicating clearly are essential. Developing positive working relationships, providing excellent guest service, and assisting individuals with disabilities are also key aspects of the role. Physical requirements include moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and placing objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance, manipulating objects with fine motor skills, reaching, bending, twisting, pulling, stooping, and moving up and down a ladder. Other reasonable duties may be assigned by supervisors.

Requirements

  • Build, install, and repair walls and partitions, including drywall, wallpaper, millwork/molding, and faux finishing.
  • Install and repair finishes, such as laminates.
  • Perform rough-in framing for doors, frames, windows, and cabinetry.
  • Repair, maintain, and construct wood structures such as partitions, doors, furniture, and similar items throughout the property.
  • Perform miscellaneous minor repairs such as tightening loose door locks and door hardware in general.
  • Order items, including filling out requisitions, obtaining manager approval, and using appropriate vendors.
  • Load, transport, and unload freight from the elevator to the designated area, using a hand truck.
  • Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures.
  • Report any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries.
  • Complete safety training and certifications.
  • Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional.
  • Maintain the confidentiality of proprietary information.
  • Protect company assets.
  • Speak with others using clear and professional language.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others.
  • Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards.
  • Anticipate and address guests’ service needs.
