Depending on assignments, the engineer may help coordinate studies from kickoff through completion and keep stakeholders aligned. The position supports system impact studies for generator interconnection requests in MISO’s Generator Interconnection Queue, reviews projects proposed by MISO’s Transmission Owners, and communicates study results, technical requirements, and project details to customers and other stakeholders. The work helps guide generation projects, identify possible transmission improvements, and maintain reliable grid operations as the generation fleet evolves.
