About The Position

The purpose of the Engineer I is to monitor, maintain, repair and perform preventative maintenance on hotel heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration equipment, and perform general maintenance duties. Supervises and assigns the work of maintenance employees, inspects work for completeness. Determines material, equipment, and supplies to be used. Transfers equipment and personnel from one project to another as necessary. Prepares work schedules as necessary. Coordinates or installs, inspects, repairs and maintains the electrical, plumbing, mechanical and other related systems in all property locations. Has knowledge of HVAC and refrigeration systems, including repair, maintenance and basic electric and plumbing skills. Ability to troubleshoot equipment and identify needs and parts. Has mechanical aptitude for operation and repair of hotel equipment and has the knowledge and ability to perform a variety of general maintenance repairs. Has working knowledge regarding application and storage of all applicable chemicals and the OSHA standards for chemical use. Operate hand and power tools (drills, hoisting equipment, reciprocating saw, and pressure washing equipment); dial indicators and testing equipment for air, water balancing and control calibration. Read manufacturer instructions, blueprints, etc. and the ability to discern various colors of electrical wiring.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of HVAC and refrigeration systems, including repair, maintenance and basic electric and plumbing skills.

  • Complete Departmental, AURO Hotels and Brand standards training as assigned.
  • Maintain a clean and neat appearance at all times.
