About The Position

Researches, develops, designs, and tests electrical components, equipment, systems, and networks. Designs electrical equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems for commercial, industrial, and domestic purposes.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in engineering from an ABET accredited program.
5 years of relevant exempt experience with a Bachelor's Degree.
3 years of relevant professional experience with a Master's Degree.
0 years of experience with a Ph.D.
MS computer skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to write technical documents clearly, accurately, and with technical rigor.

Nice To Haves

Experience with industrial motors, motor controllers, and drives is desired, including experience with PLCs, VSDs, and network communications.
Power distribution and control experience is desired.
Experience with developing and reviewing military standard environmental qualification experience is preferred (Shock, Vibe, EMI).

Responsibilities

Researches, develops, designs, and tests electrical components, equipment, systems, and networks.
Designs electrical equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems for commercial, industrial, and domestic purposes.
Ability to interface with a variety of organizations, including vendors, government representatives, and shipyard engineering and construction activities to develop, install, test, and troubleshoot electrical equipment.
Ability to work in a team to support comprehensive engineering design processes from inception through completion.
