About The Position

Swagelok offers an immersive engineering co-op program that gives interns the opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience through meaningful projects and develop both personally and professionally. In each rotation, you’ll combine what you learn in the classroom with applied work experience in Engineering. You will lead impactful projects that are focused on either continuous improvement, enhancing quality, optimizing cost-saving measures, or advancing safety measures of our processes and/or products. You will be challenged to apply and develop the technical and interpersonal skills needed to succeed for years beyond the internship experience. You will further improve your problem-solving skills and be encouraged to collaborate with other Swagelok associates. You will have direct engagement with executives and leading experts in our industry. You will have an opportunity to participate in resume reviews and mock interviews to prepare you for future career opportunities. You will complete three rotations at Swagelok, with at least one rotation being in the fall or spring semester.

Requirements

  • Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate program; minimum of a freshmen year completion in a Bachelor’s degree program in Mechanical, Industrial & Systems, Chemical, Electrical, Automation or related field
  • A minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Authorized to work in the United States
  • You must be able to complete three rotations at Swagelok, with at least one rotation being in the fall or spring semester.
  • Open to working one of our Northeast Ohio locations: Solon, Strongsville, Eastlake, Highland Hills, or Willoughby without relocation support

Responsibilities

  • Follow and apply company policies and procedures related to systems and processes supporting product performance
  • Manufacture, assemble, test and/or develop new or existing products
  • Properly document product manufacturing and/or assembly processes
  • Write, edit and evaluate technical documentation including test reports, lab results and other process/capability studies
  • Use data to drive continuous improvement solutions and process improvements
  • Use various software programs/packages including Microsoft Office, SolidWorks, Infinity QS, SAP, etc.
  • Develop and demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills.
