About The Position

StandardAero is seeking an Engine Sales Manager to join their team. This role will support other Sales Managers in managing the relationship between Business Aviation and its customers, focusing on sales, customer relations, achieving sales objectives, maintaining positive margins, and driving growth. The Engine Sales Manager will be responsible for generating prospects, formulating work scope specifications, and finalizing sales through direct customer interactions, strategic marketing, and personal contact. The position emphasizes technical expertise, product knowledge, and customer service to assist the Global Sales Team and Quoters in creating customized proposals. The role involves working collaboratively within the Southwest/Central region with sales, production employees, and management to secure business for StandardAero. The geographic area covered includes AZ, NM, TX, AR, LA, KS, MO, IA, NE.

Requirements

  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
  • High School Diploma and/or 3-5 years proven technical sales experience in the corporate aviation industry.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in specific product line, preferably within corporate aviation.
  • Demonstrates strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills while maintaining a positive and professional image at all times.
  • Proficient in computer applications, including MSWord, Excel, and the internet.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license.
  • Assertive, driven, and self-motivated individual.
  • Must be able and available for airline travel.
  • Position resides and works in a state that is within the Southwest/Central Region territory.
  • Ability to travel at minimum 50% of the time.
  • May be assigned other duties as required.
  • Have a current and valid drivers license.
  • Have a valid passport.

Responsibilities

  • Meets financial and individual volume goals (P&L) by managing the business for assigned product line(s), including managing opportunities in SalesForce.com and with customers directly, maintaining accurate quotes, controlling expenses, addressing customer service needs, and maintaining high closing rates.
  • Maintains a high level of involvement in all aspects of the sales process, identifying and creating opportunities (RFQs) for assigned product line(s), driving collateral growth, and closing opportunities.
  • Works closely with other Sales Managers, Quoters, site management, production, and scheduling departments to ensure accurate proposals and smooth transitions from POS to production handoff.
  • Conducts sales calls through visits, correspondence, telephone, and email.
  • Monitors sales/market conditions within assigned sales territory.
  • Assists in forecasting of corporate aircraft maintenance for specific product line(s) including PW 300/500, HTF7000, TFE731, CFE738, AE 3007, Spey & Tay, GTCP36.
  • Provides input for the development of the annual sales plan for assigned product line(s).
  • Maintains high visibility in the industry through involvement with trade association events, customer events, and supplier sales events.
  • Expands sales within assigned territory by joining and maintaining relationships with regional aviation groups.
  • Supports the development of appropriate marketing strategies and materials that contribute to successful sales campaigns for assigned areas of focus.
  • Performs other duties as required by the Sales Director.
