About The Position

Under direct supervision, the Engagement Specialist II works with staff to support the library’s strategic goals and initiatives by assisting customers and providing relevant and timely programs and services, both inside and outside the library. This position will be assigned to the East Edmond Library, which is located at I-35 and East 15th St. The Metropolitan Library System offers a comprehensive benefits package for full-time employees. The East Edmond Library, located at I-35 and East 15th St., will offer a wide range of services, including: diverse print and digital collections, public technology access programs for all ages, creative learning opportunities, multipurpose meeting spaces, drive-through pickup and return, as well as indoor and outdoor community spaces. We are hiring team members in guest services, circulation, and programming. Successful candidates will first work at other locations in our library system before the East Edmond Library opens. This will help them get familiar with our processes, receive training, and prepare for the new library's launch. This is a unique opportunity to help shape a new library from the ground up and contribute to a major community destination in one of Oklahoma County's fastest-growing areas.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science from an accredited college or university
• One year of customer service experience
