About The Position

The Engagement & Marketing Coordinator plays a key role in strengthening community awareness, increasing guest engagement, and supporting the visibility of Encircle’s programs and services at the local home level. This role is responsible for building and maintaining community relationships, supporting outreach and engagement efforts, creating and managing local social media content, documenting stories of impact, and ensuring marketing and engagement activities align with Encircle’s mission, brand standards, and operational expectations. Serving as both a community connector and local content creator, this position captures the daily life, programs, events, and impact of the home in ways that are authentic, welcoming, and reflective of Encircle’s full service model. The Engagement & Marketing Coordinator works closely with the Program Director, Digital Marketing Manager (DMM), Development team, and other organizational partners to support community engagement goals, local campaigns, fundraising initiatives, and awareness efforts. Success in this role is measured through increased community engagement, strong local partnerships, program participation, consistent and high-quality social media content, timely completion of projects and deliverables, accurate administrative tracking, and meaningful storytelling that supports both guest connection and organizational development efforts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or some college experience in communications, marketing, social work, or related fields is preferred but not required.
  • Fluency and excellent communication skills in Spanish (in addition to English) is preferred but not required.
  • Basic understanding of community outreach, engagement, and relationship-building practices.
  • Basic understanding of social media platforms, digital communication, and audience engagement.
  • Familiarity with Canva, Google Workspace, and social media management tools.
  • Understanding of professional communication and customer service principles.
  • Awareness of LGBTQ+ affirming practices and youth-centered community support.
  • Basic understanding of branding, privacy, media release, and minor-safety expectations.
  • Familiarity with data entry, documentation, and tracking systems such as HubSpot or similar platforms.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Relationship-building and interpersonal engagement skills with youth, families, community members, and local partners.
  • Social media posting, engagement, and basic content creation skills.
  • Basic photography, videography, and storytelling skills using a smartphone or simple editing tools.
  • Graphic design and flyer creation skills using Canva or approved templates.
  • Organization, time management, and task prioritization skills.
  • Ability to follow directions, implement feedback, and complete projects by deadlines.
  • Administrative, documentation, and data tracking accuracy skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with supervisors, community partners, and team members.
  • Ability to represent Encircle professionally in community and public-facing settings.
  • Ability to build welcoming and authentic community relationships that support guest engagement and awareness of services.
  • Ability to create engaging and mission-aligned content for local audiences and community outreach efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Build meaningful relationships with schools, youth-serving organizations, community partners, and local stakeholders to increase awareness of Encircle’s services and programs.
  • Represent Encircle at community events, outreach opportunities, and partnership initiatives to strengthen local visibility and engagement.
  • Develop and maintain partnerships that support referrals, collaboration opportunities, and community connection.
  • Support community engagement strategies that encourage participation in programs, events, and services.
  • Foster authentic connections with youth, families, volunteers, and community members in alignment with Encircle’s mission and values.
  • Create engaging and mission-aligned content that highlights programs, events, services, and the impact of the local Encircle home.
  • Capture photos, videos, stories, and day-to-day moments that strengthen community awareness and engagement.
  • Manage local social media channels through consistent posting, audience engagement, and community interaction.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure content is timely, brand-aligned, and supportive of organizational campaigns and initiatives.
  • Design promotional materials and digital assets using approved templates and tools while following brand and safety guidelines.
  • Identify and share impactful stories that highlight the experiences of guests, families, volunteers, and the broader community.
  • Gather testimonials, photos, and content that support fundraising, donor engagement, community awareness, and organizational storytelling efforts.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure stories and materials are accurate, mission-driven, and aligned with privacy and consent standards.
  • Support local fundraising initiatives, donor engagement activities, and community campaigns as needed.
  • Maintain organized and accurate records related to outreach efforts, engagement activities, marketing initiatives, and community partnerships.
  • Track and manage project timelines, communications, and assigned deliverables to ensure timely completion.
  • Support reporting, documentation, and data tracking using designated systems and platforms.
  • Assist with administrative responsibilities including expense tracking, project coordination, and maintaining brand consistency across materials.
  • Ensure all work aligns with organizational policies, procedures, and brand standards.
