About The Position

The Engagement Manager supports the Senior Director of Engagement with the execution of United Way's engagement strategy, including all programs that educate stakeholders about the challenges United Way is working to address in the community. These programs include hands-on educational activities like Connect U and the Poverty Spiral, and volunteer events for any audience, including corporate partners, individuals, families and leadership donors. The Engagement Manager plays a key role in mobilizing thousands of volunteers, hundreds of the region's top companies, and leading human services agencies in support of United Way's overall strategic objectives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of experience and education.
• Three to five years of experience in volunteer management, event planning, or a similar field.

Responsibilities

• Supports the Senior Director of Engagement with the execution of United Way's engagement strategy.
• Executes programs that educate stakeholders about community challenges.
• Organizes hands-on educational activities like Connect U and the Poverty Spiral.
• Plans volunteer events for diverse audiences including corporate partners, individuals, families, and leadership donors.
