About The Position

Ardurra is seeking an Energy Services Engineering Intern to join our team for the summer. As an Energy Services Engineering Intern, you will support a wide range of engineering projects to contribute to safe, reliable, and forward-thinking energy. This internship is designed to give you exposure to real world engineering work, build your technical skills, and help you explore a future career in the energy, power, and renewables engineering industry.

Requirements

Knowledge of fundamental engineering principles, standard procedures, and commonly used software tools to support project tasks and documentation.
Skilled in organizing data, preparing reports, and applying basic technical understanding to contribute to project deliverables.
Ability to demonstrate initiative and reliability, learn new engineering processes, and collaborate effectively with project teams under close supervision.
Knowledge of performance standards and feedback techniques, with the ability to take ownership of actions, hold self and others accountable, provide constructive feedback, and maintain high expectations for quality and outcomes.
Knowledge of change management strategies and prioritization methods, with the ability to remain flexible, adjust quickly to changing conditions, stay optimistic, and apply clear, solution-focused thinking in dynamic or uncertain situations.
Skilled in active listening, persuasive communication, and audience-centered messaging, with the ability to plan proactively, manage competing priorities, and continuously pursue learning and professional development.
Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and work ethic
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Team-oriented and self-motivated with the ability to work with a team of professionals and independently
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Bluebeam and Outlook

Nice To Haves

Exposure to AutoCAD or Civil 3D is preferred

Responsibilities

Assist with preparing plan details, outlines, drawings, and site layouts for projects involving pipelines, transmission line development, grading, drainage, and renewable energy infrastructure.
Support preparation of technical specifications, engineering reports, and project recommendations.
Assist with material quantity take-offs and contact vendors to gather budgetary quotes for cost estimating.
Review design drawings within defined limits and support quality control efforts.
Contribute to conceptual design activities and support elements of final project design.
Utilize AutoCAD or other engineering design tools to support project deliverables.
Perform field tests, measurements, and data collection with a focus on data integrity and protocol compliance.
Use data acquisition tools and instrumentation to support research and field assessments.
Assist with construction oversight tasks, including documenting field observations, writing daily reports, and supporting review of contractor pay requests.
Assist with preparing sections of technical memoranda, permitting documentation, and planning materials.
Support compliance with environmental and regulatory requirements through data gathering and documentation.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and land development teams to support project needs.
Participate in project meetings and contribute to problem-solving discussions.
Provide general project support and miscellaneous tasks as assigned.
Assumes additional responsibilities as needed to support team and organizational goals.
