About The Position

The Energy OEM Platform Manager is responsible for the strategic direction, relationship development, and commercial success of Chromalloy’s products and services supporting OEM partners in the energy sector. This role focuses on strengthening and expanding Chromalloy’s partnerships with key OEMs, driving growth in approved product offerings, and aligning Chromalloy’s capabilities with OEM technology roadmaps and market strategies. The Product Manager acts as a central interface between OEM partners and internal teams including engineering, operations, supply chain, sales, and the Program Management Office (PMO).

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related technical discipline.
  • 5–10+ years of experience in gas turbines, energy OEM aftermarket, MRO, or industrial machinery markets.
  • Strong understanding of OEM operational models, supplier approval processes, and component‑level turbine technologies.
  • Proven experience in product management, OEM account management, commercial leadership, or strategic partnerships.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and relationship‑management skills.

  • Background in turbine component manufacturing, coatings, or repair processes.
  • Experience negotiating supplier agreements or supporting OEM technical approval activities.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute product line strategies tailored to OEM-specific requirements, standards, and collaboration models.
  • Expand and grow Chromalloy’s relationships with OEMs by identifying new partnership opportunities and increasing share within approved product/service categories.
  • Understand OEM fleet strategies, material plans, and technology roadmaps; align Chromalloy capabilities to meet long-term needs.
  • Maintain regular engagement with OEM stakeholders across engineering, supply chain, sourcing, quality, and aftermarket support.
  • Manage the lifecycle of OEM‑approved repairs, manufactured components, coatings, and other solutions offered under authorized or approved supplier arrangements.
  • Identify opportunities to expand approved repair capability, add new components to existing supplier agreements, or introduce Chromalloy technologies that align with OEM standards.
  • Develop multi‑year product and capability roadmaps based on OEM demand, fleet trends, and competitive dynamics.
  • Serve as the product line subject matter expert (SME) supporting commercial negotiations, RFP responses, pricing strategies, and long‑term agreement (LTA) discussions with OEMs.
  • Create OEM‑aligned value propositions and competitive positioning that emphasize quality, reliability, turnaround time, and cost effectiveness.
  • Support account teams in managing OEM commercial frameworks.
  • Collaborate with the Program Management Office (PMO) to support the development and launch of new OEM‑approved repairs and components.
  • Provide OEM-focused input into program scopes, technical requirements, business cases, and prioritization decisions.
  • Participate in design reviews, technical gate reviews, and readiness assessments to ensure new offerings meet OEM specifications.
  • Monitor product cost, pricing, demand forecasts, revenue, and margin performance; recommend actions to support profitable growth.
  • Work closely with operations and supply chain to ensure readiness to meet OEM volume, delivery, and quality expectations.
  • Contribute to annual operating plans (AOP) and forecasting for the OEM product line.
  • Gather OEM Voice of Customer (VOC) feedback to guide capability enhancements, quality improvements, and product line development.
  • Represent Chromalloy in OEM technical forums, business reviews, audits, and joint planning sessions.
  • Track competitive suppliers, technology shifts, and OEM aftermarket strategies to anticipate changes and guide Chromalloy’s positioning.
