About The Position

This position will require you to analyze power projects and distill technical concepts and information into actionable conclusions and recommendations on which project stakeholders rely to develop, design, construct, operate, and finance energy projects being built in the United States and overseas prudently. You will work with multi-discipline project teams to provide a variety of services, such as advising power project developers on new utility-scale solar, wind, battery energy storage, thermal, and other projects; evaluating new power and infrastructure projects independently to support financing; modeling economic, technical, and market scenarios for grid operators, utilities, and research agencies; and developing planning studies and business cases for utilities, power producers, and government agencies. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical, chemical and/or civil/structural engineering.
  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills.
  • Solid interpersonal skills and ability to work with and guide others.
  • Project planning, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Decision making and judgement.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in an engineering discipline or business (e.g., MBA).
  • Experience working on power or renewable energy projects.
  • Relevant coursework/experience pertaining to technical report writing.
  • Relevant coursework/experience pertaining to multi-discipline teamwork (i.e. design projects, co-ops).
  • Relevant coursework/experience pertaining to data analysis and visualization.
  • Relevant coursework/experience pertaining to project finance or business acumen.
  • Relevant coursework/experience pertaining to conceptual project design.
  • Relevant coursework/experience pertaining to construction project management and/or scheduling software knowledge.
  • Interest in learning and effectively using emerging technologies where relevant to their role.
  • Experience with AI, automation, programming, or similar technologies where relevant.
