About The Position

Make a Difference in Your Community – Join EICAP's Energy Assistance Team. As an Energy Assistance Specialist with Eastern Idaho Community Action Partnership (EICAP), you'll help households who are struggling to keep their utilities connected. You'll guide clients through the application process for the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) and provide compassionate, professional support to those who need it most.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Comfort with Microsoft Windows applications.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in customer service or public-facing roles preferred.
  • Familiarity with phone etiquette and multi-line systems a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with applications and documentation to prevent utility shut-offs.
  • Answer questions and guide clients with professionalism and empathy.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, clients, and community partners to ensure timely service delivery.
  • Handle sensitive client information in accordance with policy.
  • Manage your time and workload within program schedules.
  • Participate in outreach activities to raise awareness of our energy assistance programs.
