About The Position

The Brattle Group is hiring Energy Analysts to work from its San Francisco office, starting in July 2027. They develop quantitative models and data-based solutions using tools such as Excel, R, Python, GAMS, Stata, and VBA; conduct energy-market analysis, research, literature reviews, and document examinations; and contribute findings, figures, and quantitative results to client presentations, memos, and expert reports. They also help experts communicate economic and financial concepts in legal and regulatory contexts and work with colleagues across levels to develop robust solutions for clients. Analysts receive professional development in applied economics and finance and exposure to the electricity industry and adjacent sectors. They are paired with a peer-level colleague and a manager-level career advisor. By the end of the first year, analysts are expected to have experience conducting basic research, building spreadsheets and models, presenting findings clearly, and working across different parts of the electricity industry. The anticipated base gross annual salary for this San Francisco position is $90,000. Brattle offers a competitive benefits package and a bonus program for eligible roles, based on individual and firm performance. The firm provides H-1B, E3, and TN visa support to full-time candidates who require it and meet the stated STEM-degree and work-authorization conditions.
