About The Position

The Brattle Group is hiring Energy Analysts to work from its Washington, DC office, starting in July 2027. Analysts build models and data-based solutions using tools such as Excel, R, Python, GAMS, Stata, and VBA; conduct data, statistical, and econometric analyses; and may create interactive dashboards. They also perform energy market analysis, literature reviews, document examination, and regulatory and policy research, and prepare memos, presentations, figures, and quantitative findings for client deliverables and expert reports. Analysts collaborate with colleagues and help experts communicate complex economic and financial concepts in legal and regulatory contexts. In the Electricity practice, projects may involve electricity, natural gas, and other energy markets; financial, economic, statistical, operational, and power-system modeling; capacity expansion and security-constrained production-cost models; and communicating research to project teams and clients. Analysts may also coauthor publications and participate in presentation teams. Brattle emphasizes applied economics and finance, collaboration, project quality, and professional development. Analysts are paired with a peer-level colleague and a manager-level career advisor.
