About The Position

The Brattle Group is hiring Research Analysts to work in its Chicago office, starting in July 2027. Research Analysts are integral members of project teams and collaborate with senior consultants and experts on economic and litigation consulting engagements. They use quantitative and qualitative analysis to address legal, regulatory, and business challenges for clients. The role includes building quantitative models and data-based solutions with tools such as R, Python, Stata, SAS, Excel, and VBA; conducting data, statistical, and econometric analyses; and potentially creating interactive dashboards. Analysts also conduct market research, literature reviews, and document examinations, and write memos that inform expert reports. They help prepare expert reports and presentations, communicating complex economic and financial concepts clearly in legal and regulatory contexts. In the METRICS practice, projects may involve antitrust and competition, consumer protection and product liability, and telecommunications. The position offers development in applied economics and finance, supported by a peer-level colleague and a manager-level career advisor. By the end of the first year, analysts are expected to have learned to conduct basic research, build complex models, collaborate on analysis, and present findings clearly and concisely, while gaining experience across industries and coding languages.
