About The Position

The Endpoint Administrator is responsible for supporting, planning and managing end user devices, printers, endpoint applications, endpoint and security protection used by Mercy Ships Staff and Crew at all locations globally. This is a full time, hybrid position located at our office in Lindale, Texas. This position also requires international travel.

Requirements

  • Able to contribute to community life, requiring stable and healthy interpersonal skills.
  • An up-to-date working knowledge in: Microsoft Windows and Apple, Android mobile device operating systems.
  • Unified Endpoint Management tools, techniques and technologies for Modern Device Management.
  • Directory solutions such as Microsoft Active Directory, Azure Active Directory and LDAP.
  • Networking technologies including LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, Cellular 4G/5G and VPN deployments.
  • Strong technical aptitude and ability to research and solve complex issues.
  • Ability to plan and work independently prioritizing tasks accordingly with limited direction to meet assigned deadlines.
  • Knowledge of technology deployment methodologies and frameworks for incident resolution.
  • An ability to organize his/her work and embrace and participate in a well-functioning, productive, and creative team.
  • Travel is required for this position and may include international travel. The duration for travel may be three weeks or longer per trip.
  • Must be able to pass all Mercy Ships' required medical assessments for business travel.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification or two years’ work experience with a Unified Endpoint Management solution. (such as Action1, Intune, JAMF, SCCM, Ivanti LanDesk).
  • Certification in Microsoft Modern Workplace or Enterprise Mobility and Security preferred.
  • MCP, CompTIA A+ and /or Network+ certification or equivalent preferred.
  • Successful completion of Mercy Ships Entry Training will be required within the first year.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a high degree of customer service for all support queries and follow to service management principles
  • Respond to and resolve escalated issues in a professional and timely manner
  • Take ownership of customer problems and be proactive when dealing with their issues
  • Design, build, deploy, maintain and/or upgrade new or existing Endpoint Management tools, such as Microsoft Endpoint Manager, Action1 and JAMF.
  • Strong working knowledge of windows registry, DHCP, DNS, DFS, Active Directory and/or Azure Active Directory.
  • Design, deploy and monitoring of updates via Automatic Deployment Rules, Update Groups, Deployment Rings and other deployment methods.
  • Design, deploy and administer Active Directory Process Automation and Group Policy administration.
  • Strong knowledge of latest desktop and mobile device operating systems administration tools and techniques to support Android, Apple and Windows devices.
  • Maintain, audit and review IS Department equipment inventory
  • Research and recommend equipment and hardware solutions related to Endpoint Devices
  • Design, write and maintain PowerShell and/or VB Scripts for automated task execution.
  • Create and maintain problem resolution documentation in the knowledge base articles
