About The Position

As a PRN Endoscopy Technician, you’ll play a vital role in supporting our procedural team during endoscopic procedures. Under the direct supervision of the performing physician, you’ll assist with patient care, equipment preparation, and procedure support—helping ensure safety, precision, and comfort for every patient.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • One to three years related experience and/or training
  • Maintains knowledge, skills, and abilities through ongoing education.
  • Completes all mandatory reviews/educational required and assigned.
  • Participates in performance improvement activities.
  • Is actively committed to meeting / exceeding employee expectations/satisfaction in the performance of job functions.
  • Retains all accreditations, licensures, and designations in good standing.
  • Maintains compliance with all laws and applicable regulatory requirements. Acts promptly to comply with required changes.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and arrange equipment and instruments in the procedure room according to instructions.
  • Assist team members with patient positioning and comfort.
  • Participate in essential safety checks, including “Time Out,” with the entire team before procedures.
  • Maintain a ready supply of endoscopic tools and materials for smooth operations.
  • Hand instruments and assist with tasks during procedures as directed.
  • Collaborate with team members to record interventions and patient care activities in the electronic health record.
  • Clean, reprocess, and maintain endoscopes and related equipment per manufacturer guidelines and infection control standards.
  • Assist with tissue acquisition, labeling, and secure handling from collection to lab pickup.
  • Track specimen documentation and verify accuracy in all reports.
  • Maintain procedure rooms to the highest industry and infection control standards.
  • Follow all safety policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned within your scope.
