About The Position

Join the collaborative team at Indiana Endoscopy Center – Avon, a state-of-the-art ambulatory surgery center on the IU Health West Hospital campus. The center has advanced endoscopy suites and provides patient care in a fast-paced outpatient environment. This full-time, day-shift role works Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with no weekends, holidays, or call responsibilities. The team supports more than 30 procedures daily across four procedure rooms. Endoscopy Technicians provide service and support before, during, and after endoscopic procedures. They prepare the endoscopy room with the necessary equipment and supplies, assist physicians during procedures within professional and legal standards, clean endoscopes, and expedite room turnover. They also provide basic care and some diagnostic tests, maintain endoscopic equipment, and manage supply inventory.

Requirements

High school graduate or equivalent.
Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
Knowledge of the names and functions of various endoscopes and related endoscopic equipment.
Collaborative and team-focused.
Adaptable and comfortable in a fast-paced setting.
Eager to learn and grow professionally.
Detail-oriented and committed to high-quality patient care.
Able to support multiple procedures while maintaining a positive attitude.

Nice To Haves

Current certification as a CNA, CRCST, CER, or CST.
Knowledge of various endoscopic procedures.
Previous experience.

Responsibilities

Ensure equipment and supplies are present and properly arranged in the endoscopy room before each procedure.
Assist the physician during endoscopic procedures as permitted by professional and legal standards.
Clean endoscopes after procedures and expedite room turnover.
Provide basic care and perform some diagnostic tests.
Maintain endoscopic equipment.
Maintain supply inventory.
