About The Position

The Endoscopy Technician will assist in the admission, transfer, and discharge of patients to/from the endoscopy room. They will participate in the preparation of the endoscopy room and contribute to the efficiency of the endoscopy suites by communicating all pertinent information to the appropriate staff. The technician will be knowledgeable of the care, handling, and reprocessing of equipment and instrumentation, and will provide and maintain safety, comfort, and cleanliness. They will also participate in the planning and evaluation of patient care by communicating all information pertinent to the patient's status.

Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent.
Successful completion of on-site Endoscopy Technician training program.
Ability to use critical thinking to carry out assignments/procedures independently, according to policies and procedures.
Scope reprocessing must be obtained within six (6) months of hire.
BLS Certification required, as approved by the American Heart Association.
Scope reprocessing certification required within 6 months of hire.
