About The Position
A leading healthcare facility is seeking a skilled Endoscopy Technician to assist physicians during diagnostic and advanced endoscopic procedures. The role involves direct procedural support, patient preparation, equipment handling, and ensuring adherence to clinical standards.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- BLS Certification (Required)
- Minimum 2 years of experience as an Endoscopy Technician
- At least 1 year of experience assisting physicians with advanced endoscopy procedures (ERCPs, EUS, POEMs)
- Proficiency with Olympus endoscopes
- Knowledge of endoscopic ultrasound equipment and related procedures
Nice To Haves
- ACLS Certification (Preferred)
- Endoscopy Technician Certification (Preferred)
- Preferred experience with ProVation MD software
Responsibilities
- Assist physicians during endoscopic procedures, including advanced procedures such as ERCPs, EUS, and POEMs
- Prepare and welcome patients, including verifying identity and ensuring proper positioning
- Set up, test, and maintain endoscopy equipment, instruments, and supplies
- Coordinate loaner equipment and report any malfunctions to clinical engineering
- Collect, label, and ensure timely transport of specimens to the laboratory
- Maintain quality outcomes by adhering to facility policies, procedures, and standards
