About The Position

As an Endoscopy Technician, you will help provide safe and effective care for patients undergoing GI and endoscopy procedures. You will prepare equipment and maintain a clean, well-organized environment to protect patients and support caregivers. The role includes preparing procedure rooms, checking and organizing equipment and supplies, assisting with patient positioning and transport, supporting physicians and nurses during procedures, handling instruments and specimens, and cleaning, disinfecting, and sterilizing endoscopy equipment. You will also maintain quality and safety records and communicate compassionately with patients and families while supporting their privacy and comfort.

Requirements

• Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• One year of experience required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare procedure rooms and endoscopy equipment; verify equipment is working properly and keep supplies organized and stocked.
• Position and transport patients safely and comfortably, using proper body mechanics.
• Support physicians and nurses during procedures, including handling instruments and collecting specimens while following safety practices.
• Clean, disinfect, and sterilize endoscopy equipment and maintain accurate quality and safety records.
• Communicate with patients and families with kindness and compassion, keep them informed, and support their privacy and comfort.
