About The Position

Utah Endoscopy Center, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking a PRN Endo Registered Nurse. The nurse uses the nursing process to plan, execute, and evaluate care for surgical and GI patients during the intra-operative period, delivering safe and effective nursing care until the patient is transferred to recovery. The role includes circulating or scrub duties while caring for patients of all ages.

Requirements

• Nursing diploma.
• At least 2 years of experience in an operating room setting; ambulatory surgery center experience is preferred.
• RN license or appropriate compact licensure.
• Valid BCLS certification upon employment; online certification is not acceptable.
• ACLS certification if required by the facility.

Nice To Haves

• Operating room experience in an ambulatory surgery center.
• CNOR or SGNA certification.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and evaluate nursing care for surgical and GI patients during the intra-operative period.
• Deliver safe, effective nursing care until the patient is transferred to recovery.
• Perform circulating or scrub duties while caring for patients of all ages.
• Demonstrate knowledge of surgical and GI procedures and oversee instrument and equipment setup.
• Coordinate and oversee the room during a case as the circulator.
• Facilitate effective and efficient transitions between procedures.
• Use preference cards and update them as necessary.
