About The Position
As a Registered Nurse, you will provide compassionate, high-quality, individualized care to support patients’ well-being and recovery. You will assess patients, perform skilled procedures, implement care plans, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to promote optimal outcomes. The role includes assisting with procedures and administering procedural sedation, as well as reprocessing scopes.
Requirements
- One year of endoscopy experience and/or procedural sedation or critical care experience.
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of California.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
Responsibilities
- Assess patients’ physical, psychosocial, and cultural needs, considering diagnosis, age, care setting, desire for care, and response to the care plan.
- Plan care in collaboration with other members of the healthcare team.
- Deliver competent care according to the patient’s needs, plan of care, and care setting.
- Evaluate patients’ responses to care.
- Administer procedural sedation and/or serve as the procedural RN assisting with biopsies, esophageal banding, ERCPs, and GI bleeding procedures.
- Assist with and administer sedation for outpatient bronchoscopy.
- Reprocess scopes.
