About The Position

Los Robles Surgery Center is seeking a Registered Endoscopy Nurse to provide nursing care to surgical and GI patients during the intra-operative period. The nurse uses the nursing process to plan, execute, and evaluate care, and delivers safe, effective nursing care until the patient is transferred to recovery. The role includes performing circulating or scrub duties while caring for patients of all ages.

The position is at Los Robles Surgery Center in Thousand Oaks, California, a facility performing more than 500 procedures monthly across gastroenterology, ENT, gynecology, orthopedics, plastics, and podiatry. The center is part of HCA Healthcare’s Ambulatory Surgery Division.

Requirements

• Nursing diploma.
• At least 2 years of experience in an operating room setting; ambulatory surgery center experience is preferred.
• Current RN license or appropriate compact licensure.
• Valid BCLS certification upon employment; online certification is not accepted.
• ACLS certification if required by the facility.

Nice To Haves

• CNOR or SGNA certification preferred.
• Experience in an ambulatory surgery center preferred.

Responsibilities

• Use the nursing process to plan, execute, and evaluate care for surgical and GI patients during the intra-operative period.
• Deliver safe, effective nursing care until the patient is transferred to recovery.
• Perform circulating or scrub duties while caring for patients of all ages.
• Demonstrate knowledge of surgical and GI procedures and oversee instrument and equipment setup.
• Coordinate and oversee the operating room during a case as the circulator.
• Facilitate effective and efficient transitions between procedures.
• Use preference cards and update them as necessary.
