About The Position

The Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography Technician (ERCP) works in the Endo/GI Lab and is responsible for collecting patient data, identifying and reporting significant findings to nurses, performing technical procedures safely and proficiently, taking action to reduce or eliminate patient risk, documenting accurately and appropriately, and assisting in admission/transfer/discharge. The technician collaborates with nurses to adapt care based on age-specific and developmental considerations, as well as cultural/religious needs and beliefs.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required
  • 1 year of GI clinical experience required
  • BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required
  • A high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment

Nice To Haves

  • 1 year of previous ERCP experience preferred
