About The Position
The ERCP Technician works in the GI Lab at Texas Health Denton in Denton, Texas. This PRN position requires a minimum commitment of one day per week, from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM. Friday coverage is preferred, but the schedule is negotiable. The role supports patient care through technical procedures, patient-data collection and documentation, and collaboration with nurses. The department emphasizes teamwork, lean principles, individual performance, and engaged management.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of GI clinical experience.
- BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support) certification before providing independent patient care; must be maintained quarterly.
- High degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.

- Previous ERCP experience.
Responsibilities
- Collect patient data and identify and report significant findings to the nurse.
- Perform technical procedures safely and proficiently.
- Take action to reduce or eliminate patient risk.
- Document accurately and appropriately.
- Assist with admission, transfer, and discharge.
- Collaborate and consult with the nurse to adapt care to age-specific and developmental considerations.
- Support and meet regulatory requirements.
