About The Position
Texas Health is hiring an ERCP Technician for the GI Lab at Texas Health Denton. This PRN position requires a minimum commitment of one day per week, from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM. Friday coverage is preferred, but the schedule is negotiable. The role supports patient care by collecting and reporting patient data, performing technical procedures, reducing patient risk, and assisting with admission, transfer, and discharge.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- One year of GI clinical experience.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification before providing independent patient care; certification must be maintained quarterly.
- High degree of confidentiality.
- Positive interpersonal skills.
- Ability to function in a fast-paced environment.
Nice To Haves
- Previous ERCP experience.
Responsibilities
- Collect patient data and identify and report significant findings to the nurse.
- Perform technical procedures safely and proficiently.
- Take action to reduce or eliminate patient risk.
- Document accurately and appropriately.
- Assist with admission, transfer, and discharge.
- Collaborate or consult with the nurse to adapt care to age-specific and developmental considerations.
- Support and meet regulatory requirements.
