About The Position

The Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography Technician (ERCP) in the Endo/GI Lab at Texas Health Plano will collect patient data, identify and report significant findings to nurses, and perform technical procedures safely and proficiently. This role involves taking action to reduce or eliminate patient risk, accurate documentation, and assisting with admissions, transfers, and discharges. The technician will adapt care to reflect age-specific and developmental considerations, and incorporate cultural/religious needs and beliefs into the delivery of care, in collaboration with nurses.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required
  • 1 year of GI clinical experience required
  • BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required
  • A high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment

Nice To Haves

  • 1 year of previous ERCP experience preferred
