About The Position

Cecelia Health is a national virtual specialty medical practice serving people with chronic conditions across the care continuum. It expands access to care through personalized clinical support, digital tools, and an integrated approach that addresses patients’ clinical, behavioral, social, and emotional needs across cardiometabolic and related conditions.

The Endocrinology Telemedicine Physician works directly with patients alongside Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialists (CDCES) and obesity-certified clinicians. The physician oversees patient care through direct video/audio consultations and supervises care provided by the non-physician clinical team. This is a remote position that can be part-time or full-time.

Requirements

• MD or DO degree.
• Active MD or DO license in at least one state.
• Board certification.
• Active DEA license.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a clinical team.
• Strong computer skills.
• Expertise supporting patients on diabetes therapies, including oral medications, injectables, and insulin.
• Expertise supporting patients on diabetes technologies, including pumps, CGM, connected pens, and apps.
• Proficiency with EMR platforms and medical billing.

Nice To Haves

• Licensure in multiple states is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide video/audio visits for patients requiring expert intervention in diabetes management and/or weight management; a patient’s non-physician clinician may also attend to support implementation of the physician’s care plan.
• Supervise patient care delivered by non-physician clinicians through case review meetings, guiding appropriate medication adjustments and titration.
• Support patients using diabetes therapies, including oral medications, injectables, and insulin.
• Support patients using diabetes technologies, including pumps, continuous glucose monitors (CGM), connected pens, and apps.
• Apply for and maintain state licenses as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
