About The Position

Endocrinology Physician Assistant Patients living with diabetes, thyroid disease, and complex hormone disorders need a clinician who turns a lab result into a plan they can actually follow. In this role you will carry a real share of outpatient endocrine care—seeing patients within your collaborative agreement, adjusting therapy, and closing the gaps that keep people from their targets. You will be the clinician they rely on between physician visits, and the one who makes the next A1C, TSH, or bone-density result mean something.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited PA program, current NCCPA certification, and an active state license or clear eligibility, plus DEA registration as required to prescribe.
  • At least two years in endocrinology, diabetes, or closely related internal medicine, including hands-on insulin management.
  • Proven ability to interpret endocrine labs and adjust therapy against written protocols and current guidelines.
  • Comfort practicing with real autonomy inside a collaborative agreement, and a clear record of escalating when the case exceeds it.
  • Precise documentation and steady communication with patients who are newly diagnosed, anxious, or managing several conditions at once.

Responsibilities

  • Run a full panel of new and return endocrine visits—diabetes, thyroid, adrenal, pituitary, and metabolic bone disease—and leave each encounter with a completed assessment and plan.
  • Titrate insulin, incretin therapies, and other endocrine medications to protocol and current guidelines, and show progress in A1C, time-in-range, TSH, and related markers.
  • Read labs, continuous glucose data, and relevant imaging in clinical context, and escalate atypical or high-risk findings to the supervising endocrinologist before the patient leaves or within the agreed window.
  • Teach injection technique, sick-day rules, nutrition, and adherence so return visits reflect better self-management, not a repeat of the same instructions.
  • Clear critical results, referrals, and prior authorizations so no actionable lab or denied therapy sits past the practice standard.
  • Hold visit cycle time to the schedule template without shortchanging complex cases that need more of your judgment.
