About The Position

The Endoscopy Technician plays a pivotal role in maintaining the integrity and functionality of endoscopic equipment, ensuring the highest standards of patient care.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role is required.
• Must have completed at least one travel assignment.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure.
• Excellent communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• High-Level Disinfection (HLD) certification is highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Apply aseptic technique principles to equipment preparation and maintenance while assisting with procedures.
• Identify and address potential compromises to sterile and High-Level Disinfectant integrity throughout procedures.
• Disassemble and inspect equipment for defective or malfunctioning parts, providing preventive maintenance as necessary.
• Perform pre-cleaning according to regulatory standards for endoscopes, including inspection, leak testing, cleaning, high-level disinfection, and maintenance of equipment.
• Follow established protocols for reprocessing endoscopes and accessories, as well as for storing this equipment properly.
• Determine High-Level Disinfection methods based on material and manufacturer instructions.
• Check and calibrate equipment according to established protocols.
• Complete ambulatory technician duties as assigned, including obtaining and documenting vital signs and transporting patients.
