Under little or no supervision, the End User Computing Engineer III provides engineering-level support, technical expertise, planning and recommendations for client end-point supporting technologies, applications and system management tools in response to BlueKC’s needs. The End User Computing Engineer acts as a Level 3 resource to Desktop Support team and works with internal IT teams to successfully deploy and maintain applications, operating systems and print services across BlueKC. The End User Computing Engineer implements infrastructure solutions in support of the desktop environment that provides value-added services and enables BlueKC to meet industry-best-practices for management and security. The End User Computing Engineer is directly responsible for desktop solutions and products including hardware standards for desktops, laptops, peripherals, operating systems, core builds and standard shrink-wrapped software such as Microsoft Office. The candidate for this position must reside in the Kansas City metropolitan area.
