  • Handling of chemical substances (6 months).

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the supply of water to carry out the treated water process within the specifications required by the ARCACONTINENTAL quality management system.
  • Control the flow of water from wells and analyze chlorine, nitrate, hardness, and pH, maintain the level of hard water cisterns and elevated tank, randomly evaluating alkalinity, hardness, pH, and chlorine.
  • Process treated water for bottling by randomly analyzing pH, chlorine, taste; odor, turbidity, aluminum, nitrates, and STD.
  • Perform and verify the preparation of lime slurry and flocculant for the flocculation-coagulation process.
  • Perform purges of the reactor tanks for solids control.
  • Perform backwashes of multimedia filters and recover water from these services.
  • Check the pressure of the polishing filters and change cartridges when required.
  • Report any mechanical problem with the water treatment system.
  • Ensure the supply of water to carry out the soft water process within the specifications required by the ARCACONTINENTAL quality management system.
  • Process soft water through softening filters that will be used in washers, boilers, and air compressors, ensuring it eliminates hardness.
  • Perform regeneration of softeners when required (hardness above 10 ppm in the softener) in order to meet established standards.
  • Recover rinse water from softeners for its use.
  • Distribute recovered water for initial rinses in the washers.
  • Process recovered water for reuse in initial rinses.
  • Verify the elimination of caustic soda using CO2 gas (neutralizer) and analyze alkalinity, pH, and chlorine to meet established standards.
  • Assist in the sanitation process of the quality control department to comply with established quality guidelines and standards.
  • Operate boilers to produce steam for sanitation of quality control equipment and control the temperature for bottle washers to sterilize equipment.
  • Verify that safety controls are functioning properly to prevent accidents.
  • Monitor and control pollutant emissions daily to affect the environment as little as possible.
  • Maintain boiler equipment for its proper functioning.
