About The Position

The Procurement Enablement & Operations Analyst leads procurement enablement and operational procurement. Procurement enablement includes the policies, systems, data, KPIs, and training that help the business buy correctly. Operational procurement covers day-to-day vendor onboarding, purchase requisition (PR) to purchase order (PO) conversion, outline agreements, and compliance reporting. The role requires strong business and system acumen, including understanding how procurement decisions affect cost, cash, supply continuity, and financial controls, and how procurement processes are built in SAP S/4HANA and Ariba. The analyst establishes a procurement KPI framework, measures and enforces compliance, and drives corrective actions in partnership with Buyers, requisitioners, suppliers, Accounts Payable, Finance, IT, and Operations. The role is a go-to resource for procurement processes and systems, and champions disciplined procurement execution and governance across plants, projects, and business functions. The work follows a hybrid model with three days in the office based on business needs, as well as time in distribution, warehouse, and production areas. The environment includes exposure to dust, moisture, noise, and hot or cold temperatures, with frequent interaction with suppliers, carriers, 3PL providers, and cross-functional business partners. Physical demands include prolonged sitting, walking through warehouses, manufacturing facilities, and multiple buildings, and occasional bending and lifting.

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, and data modeling, plus strong analytical, root-cause, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to enforce policy and hold stakeholders accountable while maintaining strong working relationships.

  • Write and maintain procurement procedures, work instructions, desk guides, and training materials; onboard and train requisitioners, buyers, and approvers on policies and system use.
  • Act as a procurement key user for SAP and Ariba by addressing issues, defining business requirements, testing changes through UAT, and supporting releases and go-lives with IT.
  • Identify and deliver simplification and automation opportunities, such as touchless POs, approval routing, catalogs, workflows, and self-service reporting, in partnership with IT, AP, and Finance.

  • Set and enforce supplier master data standards, including purchasing organization, payment terms, Incoterms, and partner functions; lead vendor master cleanup, blocking, and de-duplication with AP and Finance.
  • Manage the PR-to-PO pipeline by monitoring open requisitions, converting PRs to POs, and reducing cycle time and manual touches.
  • Maintain source lists, purchasing info records, and pricing conditions so requisitions route to the appropriate Buyer, approver, and agreement.
  • Create, maintain, and monitor outline agreements, including value and quantity contracts and scheduling agreements; track consumption, expirations, and price changes and alert Buyers ahead of renewals.
  • Maintain supplier records, contracts, and vendor information; coordinate supplier communications and follow-up actions.

  • Support internal and external audits and reporting requirements.
  • Apply understanding of procurement links to planning/MRP, receiving, inventory, AP, and Finance, and assess how changes in one area affect others.
  • Use SAP data structures, standard reports, and transactions to diagnose issues, reconcile data, and propose fixes.
  • Weigh cost, risk, cash flow, control, and user-experience trade-offs when recommending process or system changes, and build business cases where needed.
