About The Position
The EMT - Basic provides basic life support during emergency pre-hospital and interfacility transfer care to patients when indicated by their injury or illness, following state and local protocols. The position is based at MaineHealth Emergency Medical Services in Scarborough, Maine, and uses an 8-, 12-, or 16-hour shift structure.
Requirements
- Complete an EMT-basic course.
- Hold a current applicable state EMT-Basic license.
- Have a valid driver’s license.
- Hold current BLS certification.
Responsibilities
- Provide basic life support during emergency pre-hospital care in accordance with state and local protocols.
- Provide basic life support during interfacility transfer care in accordance with state and local protocols.
