Provide appropriate, efficient, and timely pre-hospital basic life support care and transportation of the sick and injured in accordance with local, state, national, and Acadian Ambulance standards of practice. This role involves conducting patient examinations, administering basic life support care within licensure limits, ensuring safe patient handling and transport, documenting patient conditions and treatments, maintaining ambulance equipment, and operating the ambulance safely. The position also requires adherence to FCC regulations, attendance at mandatory meetings, completion of station duties, ordering supplies, and performing ambulance maintenance. Approved Field Training Officers may be responsible for precepting EMT-Basic students and new employees. The role requires fulfilling all Emergency Medical Technician qualifications, requirements, functions, and responsibilities. Duties and responsibilities may be expanded beyond those listed.
