About The Position

The EMT maintains consistent clinical workflow and helps facilitate uninterrupted patient care at an outpatient imaging center. The role includes assessing patients and collecting medical history, medication and allergy information; completing screening forms to identify procedure contraindications; and providing patient advocacy and direct care to meet patients’ physical and emotional needs. The EMT inserts and removes IV catheters according to policy, assists with contrast-material injection as needed, and monitors patients after exams for safety. The position also supports efficient patient flow by positioning patients on exam tables, selecting appropriate coils and anatomical landmarks, and preparing exam rooms for requested exams. The role is full-time, on-site in Austin, Texas, with an evening shift from 2:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. It is eligible for a $2,500 sign-on bonus for new hires only.

Requirements

• Successful completion of a State Department of Health Services-approved EMT program.
• Certification as a state-approved Emergency Medical Technician.
• Current AHA Basic Life Support certification.
• Proficiency in EMT skills, including patient assessment, IV access, and oral and written communication.
