About The Position
Bitterroot Health is seeking candidates to fill an Emergency Medical Technician/ Advanced EMT position in Hamilton, Montana. The fundamental responsibility of the EMT/AEMT is to respond to calls for out-of-hospital emergency medical services and provide appropriate and high-quality medical care to victims of injury or illness, as authorized by Montana Pre-Hospital Treatment Guidelines, MDMH Addendum, or through online medical control. This is a highly visible position in the community and, as such, the AEMT shall interact with patients, the public, members of other agencies and departments with a high degree of courtesy, professionalism, and respect and always with the welfare of the patient and the public in mind.
Requirements
- High School Diploma, or equivalent
- Current Montana EMT or AEMT license
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to analyze and discern data
- Ability to manage stressful situations
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Strong organization/time management skills
- Attention to detail
- Discernment and good judgment
- Must be at least 21 years of age
Nice To Haves
- One year as BLS provider preferred
