The EMS coordinator is a critical and respected forward-facing position that has a variety of responsibilities including quality assurance, providing education, credentialing, regulatory assistance, and acting as the liaison between EMS organizations underneath Charlotte Hungerford Hospital’s medical oversight and the hospital. While acting in a clinical role, you will be able to use your skills to their fullest extent with our extensive clinical capabilities including but not limited to RSI, blood, and point of care ultrasound The Coordinator will represent Charlotte Hungerford Hospital at EMS activities, professional meetings, and community activities. They will serve as the liaison between the Emergency Department staff and pre-hospital care providers. This individual will coordinate educational programs, EMS activities, and quality improvement of pre-hospital care. The Coordinator is responsible for planning, coordinating, and monitoring programs and issues related to Charlotte Hungerford Hospital’ participation as an ambulance receiving/transferring facility. Additionally they will oversee the maintenance of the State Trauma Registry.
