About The Position

Riverwood Center is seeking an Employment Specialist to provide Supported Employment services to individuals with mental illness and/or intellectual and developmental disabilities. The role helps individuals obtain and sustain employment consistent with their vocational goals and recovery. Actual work hours may fluctuate and include weekend hours as part of a regular work schedule. Riverwood Center provides personalized services to individuals with behavioral health needs, intellectual and developmental disabilities, and substance use disorders. It is located in Southwest Michigan, with staff at seven sites across Berrien County, and is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in mental health, social services, business, personnel management, or vocational services, or five years of experience in a related area.
One to two years of experience assisting individuals with employment.
Ability to work independently.
Reliable means of transportation for transporting consumers.
Must maintain a safe driving record.
