About The Position

Under general supervision the Employment Supervisor is responsible for the overall administrative supervision, and coordination of OPWDD (Employment Training Program (ETP) and Pathway to Employment services. This position ensures that services are person-centered, compliant with OPWDD regulations, and focused on helping individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities achieve competitive integrated employment and meaningful career goals. The Supervisor provides leadership to employment staff, develops community partnerships, oversees documentation, and promotes high quality employment outcomes. This position will take on a small case load of Extended and Intensive SEMP.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma with equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • Valid NYS Driver’s license, access to a reliable vehicle and a driver's record considered acceptable by agency and insurance carrier.
  • 3+ years’ experience working in human services, supporting individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities
  • Relevant years of experience and education will be considered
  • Ability to prioritize assignments, plan, and complete work projects with minimal direction.
  • An ability to work efficiently and effectively and meet deadlines.
  • An ability to work under pressure.
  • Adheres to all applicable federal and state laws and regulations including, but not limited to, those governing confidentiality, privacy, program, billing and documentation standards.
  • All duties must be performed in accordance with CCDR’s corporate compliance and ethics program.
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize duties.
  • Willingness to foster agency, department and program wide cooperation and teamwork through use of positive/constructive communication techniques.
  • Ability to maintain absolute confidentiality of all records reviewed including client records, employee records and billing records.

Responsibilities

  • Employer Outreach
  • Supervise Employment Specialists, job coaches, and other employment program staff.
  • Provide ongoing coaching, training, performance evaluations, and professional development.
  • Ensure all Employment Training Program and Pathway Employment Services comply with OPWDD regulations, Medicaid, requirements, and agency policies.
  • Monitor staff documentation, progress notes, staff action plans, and service delivery for accuracy and timeliness.
  • Work closely with the Job Developer on relationships with local employers, businesses, community organizations, and workforce agencies to create employment opportunities.
  • Support job development, job placement, job coaching, and successful transition into competitive integrated employment.
  • Review program productivity, service utilization, and employment outcomes to ensure quality services and financial sustainability.
  • Collaborate with Care Managers, families, employers, and OPWDD representatives and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate services.
  • Monitor staffing levels, scheduling and resource allocation.
  • Ensure staff complete all required OPWDD training and maintain required certifications.
  • Maintain confidentiality and uphold HIPAA and agency standards.
  • Prepare reports, participate in audits, and implement quality improvement initiatives.
  • Promote person – centered practices, informed choice, community inclusion and Employment – first values.
  • Ensure daily billable documentation is completed accurately, thoroughly and submitted with established timeframes.
  • Ensure timely completion of all required assessments, service documentation and monthly case reviews.
  • Monitor staff productivity and provide coaching to ensure billable hour expectations and documentation standards are consistently met.
  • Participate in the incident review Committee.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Coordinates activities with supervisor and OPWDD/employment services staff as applicable.
  • Actively interacts with Employment Team to provide coordinated employment services to individuals.
  • Attend all required meetings.
  • Is aware of and actively supports the Agency’s Mission, Vision, Core Values and Strategic Plan.
  • Participate in relevant Agency meetings and/or training courses.
  • Actively pursues development of professional competencies related to job performance through reading, supervision, in-service training and attendance at conferences and workshops.
  • Awareness and active support of the Agency's Mission, Vision, Values and Strategic Plan. Including, but not limited to, supporting the Agency's Core Competency initiatives of being Collaborative and Community Focused, Innovative and Entrepreneurial, and Culturally Competent and Diverse
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
