About The Position

Under the direction of the Department Director, you will step into a key leadership role managing the day-to-day operations for the Community and Employment Resource Centre and it’s satellite site. This role offers a perfect mix of providing high-impact service delivery and championing the strong core values of our Agency. You will get to lead, mentor, and inspire a fantastic team of staff and placement students, and help them reach their targets. Requirements

  • University degree or College diploma in a related discipline (e.g., Social Sciences, Human Resources).
  • Minimum of 4 years working in Employment Services
  • Proven supervisory and leadership experience with a demonstrated ability to support and direct employees
  • Deep knowledge of the Employment Ontario service delivery model, local labour market dynamics, and provincial employment legislation.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively toward targets and outcomes.
  • Strong understanding of the target client population, individual employment needs, labour market trends, and available community resources.
  • Superior organizational, time-management, and multi-tasking skills; ability to solve problems, work under pressure, and meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Multi-cultural sensitivity with proven skill in working with a diverse range of individuals.

Nice To Haves

  • Direct familiarity with case management software and provincial tracking systems (such as EOIS-CaMS and Caseflo) is considered a strong asset.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day operations to achieve or exceed service coordination metrics, client intake numbers, and employment retention outcomes set by the funder
  • Conduct regular file reviews and service quality assessments to guarantee program delivery adheres to service standards and funder guidelines.
  • Oversee the accurate tracking of client milestones and financial documentation in the provincial database system (e.g., EOIS-CaMS and Caseflo). Compile narrative and quantitative reports for stakeholders and funders.
  • Provide clear leadership, direction, coaching, supervision, and feedback to foster a strong, cohesive, collaborative, and effective team culture
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and staff retention
  • Oversee site-specific expenditures and programmatic financial allocations (e.g., client training supports or employer incentives) in compliance with agency and funder guidelines.
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of reporting and administrative requirements
  • Work collaboratively with the local network of employment agencies and related organizations, maintaining a specific, active engagement with the Eastern Ontario Employment Service Provider Network
  • Work closely with funders to establish, monitor, and optimize key performance indicators and program outcomes.
  • Develop new and maintain existing partnerships in the community based on program and client needs
  • Responsible for overseeing building operations, including coordinating cleaning staff, ensuring facility maintenance, and managing the day-to-day functionality of office equipment and services (e.g., photocopiers and building systems).
