About The Position

The Employment Manager is responsible for managing the employment process and activities for filling hourly, salaried non-exempt, and salaried vacancies. This role involves recruiting, interviewing, selecting, and facilitating the on-boarding process for both hourly and management positions. The Employment Manager must ensure compliance with applicable laws and company policies per federal, state, and company-specific guidelines. Additionally, this position manages the affirmative action program and related efforts, including data analysis, interpretation, and communication. Assistance in human resources processes may also be required. The role requires the ability to work weekends as needed, fluent working knowledge of Microsoft applications, excellent customer service and communication skills, and the ability to work comfortably in a widely diverse environment, including a meat processing setting. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Must be able to speak, read, and write English fluently
  • Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field required
  • 3-4 years’ experience in recruiting and sourcing talent
  • Can perform the functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation
  • Must be willing and able to travel as business needs dictate.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in employee relations, recruitment, interviewing, selection, compliance, hiring laws, and best practices preferred
  • Prior experience in unionized environment helpful
